Solar panel tilt calculator
What angle should you mount your fixed solar panels for the most off-grid energy? Plug in your latitude and your priority — we'll give you the optimal tilt.

Why winter optimization matters off-grid. Off-grid demand peaks in winter (longer dark hours, heating loads) at exactly the same time solar production drops. Tilting steeper than your latitude catches more low-angle winter sun in exchange for losing summer production — when you usually have surplus anyway.
Adjustable racks. If you can tilt your panels seasonally (most ground-mount racks allow this), use winter angle Oct-Mar and summer angle Apr-Sep for ~10-15% more annual production. Worth the 2× yearly hour of work.
